• Microsoft's Help and Support Concerning XP's SP2

       My 2 second take on SP2

• SP2 appears to be another update most people will not be able to live without whether you like it or not. ;) 
• Seriously other than stopping some auto-run scripts on a few install cd's and dropping some driver support I haven't seen anything to stop me from loading the update. 
• If there are already problems with your pc I wouldn't expect or even hope that this update will fix them.  I think though if applied previous to virus and spyware it will give users one more tool to combat them.

  • Ad-aware has long been recommended at Turnkey Systems.  Now it is recommended more often.
  • Some people seem to be skeptical that a free program can and does do more than those that are paid for.  Don't.
