At Schlieperstraße 76 in Berlin-Tegel, an existing building is undergoing a comprehensive energy-efficiency renovation and technical upgrades.

TKS Engineering is responsible for the overall planning of the project. The planning services range from preliminary and conceptual design through further technical development to the coordination of the various renovation areas.

TKS is handling the construction implementation of the energy-efficiency retrofit and the supplementary capital expenditure (Capex) measures. A key focus is on renovating the building envelope, which includes installing an external thermal insulation composite system and new windows.

Through the close integration of planning and execution, the energy-related, technical, and structural requirements are coordinated at an early stage. The goal is to improve the building’s energy efficiency, preserve the existing structure for the long term, and prepare the property for future use.
