The Flüggerhöfe are located on Rödingsmarkt in the heart of Hamburg’s Old Town. This complex of historic merchant houses is undergoing extensive renovation and redevelopment for a new use.

TKS is responsible for the basic construction of the building sections at Rödingsmarkt 21 and Rödingsmarkt 27. The scope of work includes the structural preparation of the spaces as well as the coordination and execution of the various finishing trades.

The work is being carried out within historic building structures, which place special demands on planning, construction management, and execution. Existing building components are being carefully integrated into the new usage concepts and adapted to meet today’s requirements for function, technology, and quality of finish.

The downtown location also requires precise construction site logistics. Deliveries, material movements, and construction processes are tailored to the limited space and the surroundings at Rödingsmarkt.

The renovation will create a versatile neighborhood that preserves the characteristic architecture of Hamburg’s Kontorhäuser while also creating new spaces for work, retail, dining, and other downtown uses.
