STEIGENBERGER HOTEL HAMBURG

Complete renovation of 233 rooms and all public areas
About

Completely renovated. While operations continued.

The Steigenberger Hotel Hamburg is located on Fleetinsel in the heart of the Hanseatic city. Built in 1992, the hotel underwent a comprehensive full-scale renovation that revitalized it technically, functionally, and aesthetically.

TKS carried out the complete modernization of the 233 rooms and suites as well as all public areas. In addition to interior finishing, the project included extensive work on the building’s technical systems, fire protection, building envelope, and existing structure.

The work was carried out in several construction phases while the hotel remained open for business. Rooms, suites, and public areas were taken out of service in phases, renovated, and then reopened for hotel operations. The complex construction process required precise scheduling, closely coordinated site logistics, and continuous coordination among all trades involved.

The result is a contemporary city hotel that combines its unique location along Hamburg’s canals with high-quality design, modern building technology, and an enhanced guest experience.
