From a fitness center to a dining experience.

At the LAGO Shopping Center in Konstanz, a former fitness center was transformed into a modern event and experiential dining venue. TKS handled the planning and execution of the project using a design-build approach.

As part of the change in use, the existing building was raised by one story and expanded to include a new dining area with a rooftop bar. The planning and construction had to be closely coordinated with the existing building structure and the shopping center’s ongoing operations.

The result is a versatile dining concept featuring restaurant areas, event spaces, and a spacious rooftop terrace. The 360-degree rooftop terrace offers panoramic views of Lake Constance, the city, and the surrounding mountains. The publicly accessible areas also include a landscaped outdoor space and a glass-enclosed pavilion with an indoor bar.
